Sights From Scaling - Day 77
If this entry seems spastic its because its that time of the month and i am in fragging pain.
anyways they stuck me on morning shift yesterday so i couldnt even see Anna off to the airport. my mom had to take her. man it was so great having her around and i love that she was able to get along with Clarice and stuff. hope she can come back again one day.
i got Lai San to keep me and Maryann at opposite ends of the Hall. sorry if i sound really mean about her but i value the little slivers of sanity that i have. that didnt stop her though. she came moping up with another 'boohoo people are being mean to me' story and then got pissed because i just walked off. then later she tried the 'head on shoulder' but at that moment Clarence came over and dragged me away to show some American University professor around. Thank Primus.
Of course she bitched to me while walking to lunch thus i was forced to tell her to curb the emotional outbursts in public, ESPECIALLY during work. sheesh. she shut up after that. and thankfully, a video store opposite the McD we were eating at was showing WWE, so that kept her quiet for most of the break cos i was watching it. Thank Goodness for small mercies.
after break i took over Scaling and i was more than happy to. i got some good sales during the four hours i was there. there was this one incredibly cute moment. the two toddler daughters of two separate visitors went in and started playing around inside with each other. and then one of the girls went over and shook the hand of the other girl's father. it was just so adorable!
and then we have the incredibly stupid people too. one couple walked in. looked at the two cart-seats, then looked at me and went "where do we sit?". i swear i nearly exploded. HOW FRAGGING STUPID CAN SOME PEOPLE GET?!?!?
Ann caught another guy who'd taken over 14 photos with his digi-cam. she just about went ballistic on his ass and Fatimah caught a school boy who'd taken about 4 pics with an analog cam. had no choice but to confiscate the film. and i take pride in having spotted both of them all from my stationary spot at Scaling *grin*. hey its my diary, i can brag all i want!
i clocked off work at 6pm but i stayed back to keep C company and work on painting those t-shirts, cos if i came home i'd just sit with the comp and not do anything else. besides, we've got only a week left before the Exhibition leaves us so i wanna hang around as much as i can. managed to get some writing done too. i think a party is being planned for the last day.
thank goodness i'm on afternoon shift today. ah and Jazzy did a Tarot reading for me...
