Breaking Records - Day 79
i have a feeling this Saturday was considerably worse than the last. it was just.. omg chaos! and i was put on morning shift at that. and i was doing Scaling again and they decided to pair me up with Maryann again.
I CANNOT WORK WITH HER!
She wants to have everything her way and do everything her way and when you're working in a team environment that attitude just does not cut it. she cannot accept, nor deal, with correction and criticism. ARGH!!!
she didnt want to move from the sales seat so i had to stand inside and direct for three hours straight. my voice is about shot to hell after all the yelling of directions.
on the bright side though, we did break two records set by the guys.
we had the highest amount of sales EVER. Over $1000 when we handed it over to Melvin and Ridhwan once we finished shift. broke the previous record of over $900 Zack had set. we also did the most number of people in one shot. the last record was by Krist which was 10 people: 4 adults and 6 kids. we did 11 grown women, 3 of whom were quite large. i directed it! the shots were perfect! GO ME!!
i also did something i had no idea i could do.
there were these two women who came in and either they could speak no word of English, or they couldnt speak at all. so i had to use my made up sign language to direct them. surprisingly i pulled it off without a hitch!! i swear i seriously didnt speak any words to them. not. a. single. word. and just using my hands i was able to tell them where to look and how to pose and when to switch till both shots were taken.
i had no freakin' clue i could do something like that!
one slagging moron yesterday thought one of the Hobbiton backgrounds was a cemetary! o.O
omg the videos of the showhosts that we're making are fragging hilarious. we're copying some of the skits from "A Day In The Life Of A Hobbit" and adapting them to our line of work. i recorded my video yesterday, talking like Billy. i did the one where he talks about running around the canteen and touching the table and his foot coming off. only adapting it to one of our work experiences, namely the LOTR Fear Factor challenge.
cant wait to see it!
