10:42 p.m. - 2004-06-13 i miss the Exhibition. i miss it terribly. i miss waking up everyday and going in to work and hanging out with the people i now call friends. i miss the teamwork and the camaraderie. i miss the exhibits that we 'adopted' as our own. i miss everything about my work. because it wasnt a job. it was an experience. everyday was an experience because of the great variety of people that came in everyday, you never knew what to expect. there'll never be another like it. so yea, excuse me if i didnt feel like updating... anyways now that i'm here.. lets see... Janis and i went for 'Day After Tomorrow' on Wednesday. the movie was ok. it was nice to see Ian Holm again after Bilbo. we watched it over at Cineleisure and since they've remodelled the whole place, you're forced to walk past a whole row of shops.. one of these shops is stacked floor to ceiling with nothing but Transformers toys.. and the best thing? not a single Armada or Energon toy in sight. only G1, Japanese Headmasters and RiD. SQUEEEE!!! ...and what the slag is wrong if a girl likes, no scrap that, LOVES something like Transformers!?!.. the guy running the store came up to me and asked if i was looking for a gift for someone. me: O.O.. NO! i'm looking for myself! i'm a Transformers freak! guy: you're only the second girl i've met who likes TF. what can i say? we're a rare breed. either that or he's never been to Lexicon. hmm what else..? i've been buying alot of unicorn-based story books. there is a sad lack of unicorn stories i must say. the adult fantasy section has nothing, and the children's only a pitiful two or three.. i thought everyone loved unicorns? why are there so few stories?? *sigh* guess i'll eventually have to write one myself looks like, if this keeps up. we had our first meet up on Friday night since the Exhibition ended. we went down to Lau Pa Sat which is a very big open-air food court. there were about 15 of us down there and eventhough we occupied one of the road tables, we were so loud you could here us from one end of the road to the other. yea.. thats one of the reasons they hired us to work for LOTR. that job required insane lunatics like us. so what happened? oh the usual round of insulting and making jokes and each other's expense, the questioning of everyone's sexuality:- Melvin was labelled gay cos he wore shorts, Janis and I were labelled a lesbian couple cos we shared a drink -: ah but its all in fun. wouldnt expect anything less outta those guys. lol.. Lai San mentioned my skirt had a slit up the sides, which led to Ravi and Fatimah (o.O) looking under the table. Ravi swears he was only looking at my legs, not any higher.. ROTFLMSO!!! =D i love the sound of bagpipes... its got such a bittersweet sound to it that's just beautiful. sorrow with a tinge of hope... beautiful. i'm named after two saints.. heh
