Toy Tales
Well today was another Clarke Quay outing. it was supposed to be a whole bunch of us going down, but Fiona had some other work to do and Tash pulled out at the last minute saying she was too tired after her flight last night. So it ended up being just me, Clarice and C's friend Michelle.
but before we get down to the actual details of Clarke Quay, there was choir to be had first... i really do like singing here. love the challenge. and i just went up in the rank of vocal ranges. no longer am i just a simple Soprano, oh no, they went and made me a Descant! O.O A Descant?!?! Do you even know the type of notes these women have to hit??? That now I have to hit?? they're way up there on the high octave area, like omg! i thought for sure my voice was gonna crack. every vocal chord stretched to the limit man, and thank Primus they held - barely. mreh.. did i just say i loved challenges?

alrighty then, Clarke Quay... well it was fun. quite a few of the shop/stall owners know me now that i'm obliged to stop and chat for a while. most of them are guys who are highly taken with the fact that a little girly-girl like me, who squees at the sight of My Little Pony and Care Bears can be so gaga over a "guy-thing" like Transformers. mwahahahahahahahaha! you should see their faces when i start spouting off Transformers lingo - oh priceless. =)..
anyways there's this little story about my G1 Sideswipe toy. almost every day after i bought him and brought him home, every morning as i sat down at my comp, he would lean over and ask "Where's my brother?"
ME: "I dont have him"
"But I need my brother"
"I know! I'm trying to find him!"
:::Later:::
"Did you find my brother?"
"No I couldnt find him, I'm sorry
*looks sad* "I miss my brother"
FINALLY! At long last, today i found Sunstreaker. Rather banged up and bruised, but still Sunstreaker.
i walked into the store and started browsing. when i got close to a little glass cabinet near the floor in a corner i could have sworn i heard someone yelling. sure enough, when i looked, there was Sunstreaker banging on the glass and yelling every Cybertronian curse and demanding i get him out of there. how could i say no.
actually its a second-hand Sunstreaker that i managed to bargain for and got for $15 cos he's missing a spoiler and has no hands. the store guy insists he gave me the discount because of the Gondor Tree pendant i was wearing, and not because i smiled ever so charmingly and sweetly at him. yeah. right. whatever. gimme my Sunstreaker now.
So i brought Sunny home and Sides was ever so happy to see him that he flying tackled and hugged him, to which Sunny typically replied: "Hey! watch the paint job you slagging idiot! its busted up enough as it is!" Yup, its great to have the Lambo twins here together.
i just need to get Sunstreaker a pair of hands. hmm... maybe i can give him Thundercracker's hands. TC prefers to stay in jet mode as it makes him look bigger than the Autobots. well, i can understand, he IS the only 'Con here.
Sunstreaker: "I am NOT getting fitted with Decepticon hands!"
Sideswipe: "Without a pait of hands, you wouldnt be able to wax your finish"
Sunstreaker: "Ok you might have a point there."
i just love my Transformers.
After Clarke Quay, i rushed over to OG in Chinatown cos i'd heard that they were selling the Hasbro plastic Alternators at a discounted price. unfortunately, when i got there, they only had 2 Sideswipes left - which i already have. ah well.
they did have some new Ponies though, and i eventually bought one after much agonizing over which one to get.
i said i hate making decisions.
Clarice is another conspirator! she went and got me something for my birthday and refuses to tell me what it is!! grrr.. argh!! fine!! apparently all her Van Helsing toys are fighting with each other. lol..
well i havent had any problems with mine so far, but now that Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are back together, i have a feeling that peace will be a thing of the past, seeing as how Jazz and Bluestreak are also here, as well as some of their favorite victims: Red Alert and Tracks.
hmmm, maybe i shouldnt give Sunstreaker those hands...

Edit: i almost forgot. Daddy got me the first two volumes of the Japanese Headmasters series! Squee! its got most of the G1 characters, only uh... the voices are rather strange and who in Primus' name decided to call Blaster "Billy" wtf?! anyways there are 18 VCDs worth of episodes that i cant WAIT to start watching! Squee!!
