Shallow Water
i'd really been looking forward to today. its been ages since i played around in water so yea, i was waiting to come in contact with my Chinese element...
man, taking the bus past the Science Center en route to the water park brought back so many memories. heh, the LOTR Exhibition board is still there but with one change. all the opening times are gone and instead there's a "Thank you for your support." awww.. =)
so it was Clarice, Maryann and i at first going round and round in the Lazy River.. hehe i love that thing! you do nothing but hang on your float and go around the park. the water current moves you so you dont have to do any swimming, which is a good thing cos i cant swim. lol, ican drown wonderfully well, but i cant swim. *shrug* ah well.. no one's perfect.
anyways, Tash came over while we were hanging out in the wave pool, so after we got her set up with float and everything... sigh... then she makes a fuss that she doesnt want to go out in the sun. ah frag it all! what sun?! we were having white, cloud covered sky. the sun only came out for a few minutes. sheesh. so we went back to the Lazy River and dragged her in with us, and she did have a good time. so we took the chance and took her pack to the Wave Pool once they'd turned it on and had a wacky time trying to clamber on the floats while the waves were going.
we had to stop for lunch then cos we were mostly without breakfast and we were starving. splurged on pizza and am now suffering with only about $2 left in my wallet. I HAVE TO STOP SPENDING!!!!
mreh... after lunch Tash pulled a little Diva stunt and said that now since she was dry, she didnt wanna get back in the water again. WTF? oh and because the sun was coming out again. bullslag. it was getting cloudier and cloudier. so she went and changed and eventually went off. ah well, no big loss cos we could only get about half an hour of pool time in after that cos it was getting stormy and at the first flash of lightning the lifeguards signalled to everyone to get out of the water.
Tash is seriously bugging me. shes starting to act more like Lara and the other school Divas than one of my original school group. i mean sheesh! worried about sun? we had worse sun in Sri Lanka when we were going to school and she never complained. man ever since she went off to the US or Australia or wherever, she hasnt been the same. i mean c'mon! since when was she ever this superficial?! Slag.
anyways, we had some time to kill after that so we went down to Jurong Point mall to have a little look around. they've got a huge $1 shop! wheee!! nice stuff there. but we couldnt stay long since C had to get back to church for her class.
damn these little conspirators and their scheming! they're making me wait 2 months before i can find out what they're giving me for my birthday. i swear i will make you all pay!! hehe but i still love everyone of you.
