Met up with C and her friend to see I, Robot today. i'll get to the movie later, but first...
I finally got my TF Robot Masters Mirage!!! go me!!
ok so the movie (we watched it in Digital format! woohoo!). i have to say its very good, and if you're a TF fan you're gonna like it even more.
so before proceeding any further, if you havent seen the movie yet, and dont like spoilers, then dont read this. just go out and watch the movie and then come back.
the robots are just... well they remind me alot of the Early TFs themselves. mind you i'm not talking just about the cartoon series, but the actual TF mythos itself, just after the Quintessons were driven from Cybertron. The NS-4 Robots in particular look alot like the early Autobots.
similarities to TF should be obvious to any hardcore TF fan.
take the lead robot Character for instance. out of all the other robots programmed to follow rules, it is the only one with some sentience. and its got blue eyes!! a robot with blue optics cannot possibly be bad, no matter how much the plot tries to convince you otherwise. and for Primus' sake! the robot's name was Sonny!!!! SONNY!!! so there's a one-vowel difference between Sonny and Sunny, but still! what are the odds of a robot having blue optics and the name Sonny?? Autobot i tell you! one of the lost Autobots!!! he even fights like the Twins man!
and the whole deal with all the bad robots having a red glow! Decepticons!! and all the robots given life by a central super computer. and theres the scene where the bad NS-5 robots kill off the weaker, human-protective, NS-4 robots... hello Autobot/Decepticon civil war! honestly... throughout the whole movie i was seeing TFs.
Will Smith should stick to movies like this. he should give up singing cos he quite honestly sucks. his acting on the other hand is much better. dunno about the nekkid shower scene though.
and then theres that killer line where Will's character responds to the lead suspect with a sneeze, followed by: "I'm sorry, i'm allergic to bullshit." omg priceless!
after the movie we stayed for the credits and when Andrew's name rolled up on screen C and i started cheering. people probably thought we were looney.
but then i like being looney *wink*
