Priorities
Its sunday again... and back to the choir we go.
well we finally finished "And The Glory Of The Lord" and that includes hitting that high A note quite a few times till i thought i'd snap a vocal chord. and when i say finished, i mean we finished the first round of hearing what the song sounds like. by no means are we even close to perfect yet. we have yet to memorize the tune and try to figure out when and where to come in with our respective parts. not easy i tell you.. and this piece is written by Hendel, the same guy who wrote "The Messiah" and the "Hallelujia" chorus.. man no wonder its all so slagging chaotic!
and gross out! Bernard made us do vocal warm-ups. i HATE vocal warm-ups. i know its supposed to be good for your voice and all, but they're just so ridiculous! and you sound so stupid doing them. mreh.. we all end up laughing anyways so i dunno what good it does.
and we just got our schedule for Nov/Dec... hehe.. lets just say i have alot of choir ahead of me.. sometimes we have to sing for two masses per day.. Christmas we'll be singing 3 days in a row. now whoever said singing in a choir was a piece of cake please come forward so i can beat the living slag out of you.
and i always get really hungry after practise... hmm.. maybe not eating breakfast before going to mass is the cause of it. i dunno, i'm just afraid to eat before singing cos you never know what can effect your voice. and i have to hit high notes at that. i simply do NOT want something clogging up my throat.
anyways, after a nice KFC meal, Clarice and i went down to Clarke Quay to pick up her Underworld toys.. hehehe, at long last the countdown is over and she got her precious Lucian et al. i was just feeling so miserable.. so many Alternators Tracks for sale just calling out to me to come buy them. and one table was selling the Coronation and Black Gates of Mordor gift packs too. unfortunately, the Coronation was way over budget for me at $65, especially after Simply Toys promised it to me at $45. Sigh.. have to be patient.
and then i saw my other Priority One - the Alternators Jazz-Mesiter *weeps* he was a 'display only' not for sale and they wouldnt even let you touch it. and it was the White Version at that!!!! my Preciousss Black and White Visored One!!! waaah *sobs* he wont be out till next month either. i stood and oogled and drooled over it for a good 5-10 mintues.

gaaaaah! i want it!! want it!!! want it!!!!
at least i didnt leave empty-handed. Anna 'bought' me my birthday prezzie: the Hobbits "There and Back Again" gift pack of all 5 Hobbits in their Grey Havens clothes. its lovely!!
