Slacking Bribery
well nothing really spectacular happened in choir yesterday. lots of politicking and what not which i have no intentions of being a part of, but lets just say it all worked out for the good... we did learn a beautiful Christmas carol though, one i REALLY like called "One Small Child". its just such a pretty song!
and i met one of my fellow descants, Mary i think her name is, at the SC this morning! lol of all places to run into each other. she was just as surprised to see me as i was to see her
today at the NJRC, they needed to finish the interview rounds of the top 30 teams so Idzhani and Wendy put me in charge of coordinating the teams with one runner named Tiffany to take the teams back and forth. so i ended up pretty much slacking for most of the day. Ross came in a while later and hung out with us too.
unfortunately the entire schedule was thrown out of whack. we were supposed to start at 9am, but the judges only got to the room at 9.50 and then proceded to spend 40 minutes with the first team instead of the allocated 15 mins. so that pushed the entire schedule back about an hour, and not to mention Tiffany was EXTREMELY slow. so for the last two hours before lunch i decided to use my wily sense of charm and my talent to irritate the slag outta people to bug the judges to hurry the fragging-slag up! which they did for a while thank Primus.
the nice thing about working with the school teams are all the freebies they give out. some of them are sponsored by companies so they're given free stuff to give out. one team from Admiralty Secondary School was sponsored by Pink Dolphin, so they gave us.. what else? the most adorable little plushie dolphins!! Squee! mreh i was lucky enough to get two! the teacher gave me one blue one which i named Frostbite, and after i brought the team back from their interview, the girls gave me another white one which i called Snowflake. =)
CHIJ gave us a goodie bag which i shared with Ross. i kept the pencil case, pen and t-shirt. its bright yellow though. lol. and St Andrews gave me a red t-shirt. they seem a bit big so i dunno if i'll wear them. i'll still keep them as souvenirs though. lol bribes! i swear it!
eventually got of work around 7pm. Idzhani thinks its odd that i kept talking to the dolphins, but hey, i've always talked to my stuffed animals. i cant help it, i've been doing it all my life.
man i hope i get to do something worthwhile tomorrow.
