Happy Birthday To Me
Happy Birthday to me! Yay!
Well today was my birthday – 22nd to be exact – and its odd, I was up when midnight rolled around busy organizing my choir Christmas file. I wound up staying up till 2am! Gaah! And I have to be up by 9 again!
Well yes I was woken at 9am again. Man, cant even sleep in on my birthday. So after half an hour of watching Martin Mystery, then headed to shower and yes! I finally cut my hair shorter!! Before, it used to go down all the way to my ass. Now its only waist level – a level I can manage. In between I finally got to open Thor’s gifts! Squee!! Transformer Unicorn!!! And Dolphins! And Tolkien books!! Whee, thank you so much! After running around the house like a mad-femme trying to get ready within that one hour, I finally hauled aft to church.
Choir was a lot of fun as usual! And thank Primus I wasn’t reduced to fits of coughing in between hymns. Practise was cool. I got talking to Joyce, one of the kids and she’s quite nice.. a little wacky and just the way I like it. She talks non-stop too =). Hehe great! During practise, Clarice gave me her gift and Shirley’s. lol Shirley gave me alcohol, my favorite kind too =D. awww C thanks so much for the stuff you got me.. I really do love them, especially Bright Heart Racoon! And I will find some place to hang the dolphin chimes.
After choir, we started walking to the mrt station for our meetup with Fiona and Maryann, but along the way, my shoe broke AGAIN! Sheesh! So I had to jump in a cab and rush back home to change footwear. That set us back by about half an hour. Thank goodness that when we got to Orchard, the other two were already there, so we headed straight to have lunch at Sakura.
And then I got my other prezzies!! Mwahahaha I cant help it! I love presents =D
Fiona gave me a pretty fake fur, snow leopard printed bag and a majorly cuteness card with anime Pippin and Eowyn drawings in it. Prettyful Fiona, thanks!
Maryann had gone all out with presentation. Big box, ribbons, glitter… but the main thing is that she got my Mystic, my unicorn plushy – covered in glitter no less.. ah well. In addition there was a box of purple, lavendar-scented bath products… cool stuff, and the first part of one of her fave books: The First story in the Alanna series. Thanks muchly MA.
After lunch I finally picked up the last 2 books in Elaine Cunningham’s Songs&Swords series. And then it was off to Clarke Quay! Whee!
As usual, Maryann tried to provoke me by using the terms 'Me and Jo' just to make me and Fiona feel so outcast.… I honestly don’t know what to say man. I wont deny it, she kept doing it, even kept faking an interest in Optimus Prime and TF just to show off the C and Fi that she knew something about it, but I wasn’t really buying. And somehow I don’t see her ever buying 20th Anniversary Oppy.
*sigh… shakes head…*
Transformers.com.sg has finally opened a store at CQ and that’s where I got my Alternators Hound! At last!! The guy was amusing, when I asked him the price he was like “for guys its $70, for ladies I’ll sell it for $65” so bwahahaha! I got it at a slagging good price! Go me! After that we walked around the shops a little more. Maryann bought some Ponies, Fiona even got some figurines from her latest anime craze. =D I’m very happy cos everyone managed to get something they wanted. And I finally got a date on the Jazz-Meister! 29th September Jazz-baby, I’m coming for ya!
After that I hung out with C at PS till it was time to meet my family for dinner… *sigh* that was the only bummer. I was expecting a nice dinner like we have every year, but noooo, my mom has to kiss up to my grandmother so what did we have in the end? Stupid, slagging KFC. Frag! Its my birthday slaggit! You’d think I’d deserve a little better from my own family, especially after the lovely day I just had with my friends, but oh no, gotta be a damper somewhere
Ah oh joy (insert sarcasm), tomorrow its back to work…
