10:01 p.m. - 2004-09-25 damn NJRC has saturated my brain so much with "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved" that i bought a bootleg version of Maroon 5's album. doubtless i'll probably ask myself what i was thinking a few months down the line. thank goodness for bootlegs. anyways, the Kids Science Fest is FINALLY over!! Thank PRIMUS it ended when it did or i just might have very well KILLED Ryan... hmm... wait... death is too easy, especially for a prissy, arrogant, pipsqueak, sonofanorc bastard like him. i prefer my little method of hack!slash!stab!maim!kill!woohoo! ok, so i'm severly unhinged, what else is new? when we finished on Tuesday, the asshole Upstream people gathered us all in the lobby to give us each a piece of cake for all our hard work *rolls optics*. later i learned that Lai San and Fatimah were staying back to meet Jean, so with nothing else to do, and with Mom out of the country, i decided to tag along as well. mreh it started pouring with rain while we waited to when Jean finally arrived, we piled into Gimli (her car) and drove to IMM. did i ever mention how supercool Jean is? she's a professor at the University and a super LOTR freak! she sets her exam papers using LOTR names and places. she plays the FOTR Soundtrack in her home, TTT in her car and ROTK in her office. i love this woman! ...anyways we got to IMM, had dinner and then spent a good 2 hours walking around a $2 store that sold alot of Japanese-y stuff. Fatimah had a spree =). eventually the three of us had to drag her to the check out counter. finally, before we left, we stopped for turkish ice cream. whats the difference from normal ice cream? well they use goat milk instead of cow's milk for one, and its alot more chewy, and doesnt melt as fast. its slagging good though, especially the chocolate =D... on the train ride home, Lai San and Fatimah convinced me to come for the Sci-Fi Fest screening of the Matrix trilogy on friday. so i though ah, what the heck i'll go; then Fatimah added that i should come in costume! gah! i know nothing about the Matrix unless you put it into a TF context. anyways Fatimah and Fiona gave me a costume idea so i spent Thursday looking for a short, black skirt and a black tube top. mind you i've never worn a tube top before. what? my family's a bit conservative, sue me!... anyways, thank Primus for This Fashion, i was able to get something cheap, decent, and that didnt make me look fat. so Friday rolls around. now according to Fiona i'm supposed to be one of the Zion club dancers or something. so i dress up: totally all-black ensemble, damn those black heels though, but yay for my black roses necklace and shades! =D. add a jacket to cover up and i'm safely out of the house and in the train. i met Fatimah early. she was in Trinity gear.. nice.. i like the trenchcoat.. hehe, and we spent some time walking around Borders waiting for the others to arrive. finally we went down to Orchard Green and met Xeno (he costumed Pippin during LOTR) who showed up as Neo. when the others arrived we headed in together... ahh the look on Sue's and Ryan's faces when we walked in was priceless. see, we'd been offered a spot to work for the Sci-Fi Fest, but since it was gonna be under upstream again, we turned it down. bwahahaha and now we show up in costume, with the Events people, and get in for free!! mwahahahahahaha! Roger was there too and paid me a very sweet compliment =).. lol it started off where he said something like "who cares about your costume", and this right after he told Fatimah and Xeno how cool their costumes were.. so i was trying to explain very lamely who i was supposed to be, when he continued, "you're beautiful." *BLUSH!* That pretty much shut me up very promptly. =D.. then today, Dad and i went up to JB again to catch Princess Diaries 2, since it wont be coming out here till November i think. man i LOVED it! very, very nice movie, and i'm SO going to see it again when it comes out here. John Rhys Davies is in it too!! and now i gotta go get ready for choir tomorrow.
