Graduation
Well its Official now, I'm an Advanced Diploma Graduate in Mass Communications.

Yes, today was the official graduation ceremony for all the Mass Comm students who have passed Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelors/Masters level and they had it at the fancy Ritz Carlton Millennia hotel.
i had to go in early morning between 10 and 11am to register myself and get dressed blah blah. for the record i had to wear black skirt, white long-sleeved shirt, pantyhose and court shoes. *glares at evil court shoes*. could barely walk in the damn things.
and i thought i was going to be the only one from my batch to attend, so i was pleasantly surprised and relieved when i saw my friends Mindy and Nazeera walk in. phew! i'd gotten along well with them in class and all, so it was great to sit and catch up with them after all these months.
as for the actual ceremony itself... well there were the compulsory long speeches - 3 of them to be exact - before they started giving out the scrolls and other stuff to the graduands. that took about 2 hours. i''m just happy i managed to make it up on stage without falling over cos my shoes were giving me so much hell.... after all the giving out of stuff there were a few more speeches, and group photos and FINALLY after that we were allowed to go out and eat.
first thing i did after coming out of the ballroom was to change back into my nice comfy black sandals. later, while we were walking around and helping ourselves to the snacks from the buffet table, we met 4 of our 6 lecturers, 3 of whom recognized me right away. Mr Padhman and Ms Devaki in particular were very happy to see me there... eh hehehe i did score As in all their classes.. =)
food was ok... and mom and dad bought me one of the graduation bears whom i named Tassle. awwww...
lol my TF toys were cheering when i came home. Jazz in particular was very happy *snuggles Jazz* he's just such a sweet Bot. i'm so happy i took him out with me yesterday cos he was such a great companion to have. especially since i went out alone to town to pick up some TF comics before heading to SC for the briefing. Thanks Jazz.
as for SC, well we're no longer going to be under Kelly Services thank Primus. this time around its going to be video arcade games and the stint is till Feb 2005. so i should be happily employed till that time.
hopefully after that i can get my aft back to completing my Bachelors degree in Mass Comm, esp since the new MDIS UniCampus should be up and running in June. *crosses fingers* So sue me, i'm ambitious.
P.S: Jamie, i loved your poem and i'm so slagging flattered that you compare me to a Unicorn =).
