Ghost Of Me
Ugh.. Bleh.. Argh.. and various other sounds of disgust and frustration.

surprise surprise! Jo is sick again and this time its a cold. man viruses love me or something. thats the only explanation i can think of as to why i keep getting sick all the time. either that, or someone REALLY doesnt like me.

and its not helped by the fact that these last two days, i've been rather annoyed with the SC. its their new Planet Games Exihibtion thats supposed to run for the next four months. basically its all just computer/video games, from the old Atari arcade games of the 70s/80s all the way upto X-boxes and all sorts of other wacky futuristic stuff. yeah, you're probably thinking 'woah, so cool'. well yeah, if you're a visitor and you're into gaming and such.

for me? well.. i stink at games. the only game i'm even a smidge good at is tetris. i'll say no more. but anyways, our job just entitles us to walk around, switch on the computers and then stand around for the rest of the day. great... do these people even know what boredom and idleness can do to my mind?!

so all we did on Thursday for 'training' was to stand around and listen to all the technicians as they gave us instructions on how to work the computers and stuff, most of it a bunch of technical jargon that went right over my head and out the window. as Windcharger would say, "Will you get to the point!". yesterday was the launch and they only just managed to get everything working, just hours before the opening ceremony.

and yesterday was when i was hit with the full-fledged cold. so it was with great effort that i dragged my aft to work in the morning. i could have just called in sick, but since it was opening night and all... my conscience wouldnt let me. so i went, and was just miserable for the rest of the day.

i guess it was mainly because i had to wear this stupid ghost costume, that came with a hooded-mask thingy that cut off much of my vision and made my eyes sting, and since it was all padded with foam, it made breathing rather hard too, so you couple that with a cold and you have a recepie for 'Making Jo Miserable'. i mean, how can you even expect me to walk around and interact and give explanations wearing THAT THING?!

finally i said i had a doctor's appointment at 9pm and since it takes me an hour by train to reach my neighborhood, they let me off at 7.45. i seriously didnt care about the 'nice, catered dinner' they'd brought in for us that i was 'going to miss'. food is not exactly a high priority for me, and besides, i've had ALOT better during LOTR, so no thanks, i'll pass.

as for the people i'm working with, ie the other Presenters. well... its me and Fatimah and 4 other guys. one of them's this Fashion design student and the way he talks, its like... *shudder*... it really makes me question whether he's gay. he's just got this high-pitched, girly voice, and acts totally feminine. ok if you're gay and you act like that, its understandable. but if you're straight, its just... UGH!!

the other three guys are alright, ask me again in February.

on thursday night, after we got off work, Lai San, Fatimah and i met up with Zack, Krist, Julin and Jean and went down to IMM for Zack's b'day dinner. we literally invaded the KFC outlet there, made a slagload of noise and chaos (which is typical for us), poked fun at each other, ate, and then departed. i have a feeling we will not be going back to that KFC outlet any time soon.

and i have it scientifically proven that Jazz (the Autobot, not the music) helps me relax. See, one of the games at this exhibition is this thing called Mind Ball, where 3 electrodes are strapped to your forehead, and then you try and move this magnetised ball into the other person's circle. and the way you do this is to be as relaxed as possible.

so i played against one of the guys, and when we started, the guy nearly won. i managed to stop him at the last minute, and with a lovely vision of taking a ride with Jazz along the coast, i kicked the guy's ass! go me! woo hoo!

KY gave me this music video of The Touch, from Transformers: The Movie.

IT ROCKS!!
